GENTLE, PATIENT-CENTRED CARE IN THE HEART OF PLYMOUTH
General & routine dentistry
Supportive, preventive care for lifelong oral health
At The Mead Dental Practice, our approach to general dentistry is built around prevention, comfort and consistency. We take time to listen to your needs, understand your concerns and make each appointment as relaxed as possible.
Whether you’re visiting us for a routine examination or to discuss a specific issue, our team focus on delivering high-quality care with a gentle, patient-centred approach. Regular check-ups help us protect your teeth and gums, detect early changes and plan personalised treatment that supports your long-term oral health.

Comprehensive care tailored to you
Your general dental appointments allow us to look at your oral health in detail. Each visit includes a full assessment of your teeth, gums and soft tissues, along with oral cancer screening for your peace of mind. If X-rays or digital scans are required, we will explain why and talk you through the results clearly. Our goal is always to ensure you feel informed and empowered when making decisions about your care. For patients with specific needs - including those who feel anxious, children, or individuals with additional requirements - we take extra time to create a calm, supportive experience that helps you feel comfortable and understood.
General dentistry also includes treatments to restore the function and appearance of your smile. From white fillings and gentle extractions to crowns, bridges and periodontal care, our clinicians provide evidence-based treatment with precision and attention to detail. Our modern digital technology, including 3D intraoral scanning, enhances accuracy and comfort, allowing us to plan your care more effectively and deliver high-quality outcomes.
A team focused on prevention
Preventive dentistry sits at the heart of what we do. By keeping up with regular healthy mouth reviews and hygiene appointments, you can significantly reduce the risk of cavities, gum disease and more complex dental issues. Our team will offer personalised advice on brushing, flossing, dietary habits and long-term maintenance, helping you keep your smile healthy between visits.
Here for your everyday dental needs
Whether you’re due for a routine check-up, experiencing discomfort, or looking for guidance on maintaining a healthy smile, Mead Dental is here to support you. Our friendly team are committed to providing attentive, high-quality care for you and your family, whenever you need us.

Urgent dental care
If you are looking for more urgent dental care, we also offer dental emergency appointments for non registered patients of our practice. The charge for this more immediate service is £195. If further treatment is required, the dentist will explain the options available to you once an assessment has been made.
