Subtle, natural improvements to enhance your smile
At The Mead Dental Practice, cosmetic dentistry is all about helping you feel confident in your smile while keeping the results natural and in harmony with your features.
Whether you’re hoping to brighten your teeth, smooth small imperfections or explore a more transformative approach, our team take the time to understand your wishes and plan treatment that feels comfortable, gentle and carefully tailored to you.

Composite Bonding
Composite bonding is one of the most effective ways to enhance the appearance of a tooth without invasive treatment. Using a tooth-coloured resin, we can smooth uneven edges, repair chips, close small gaps or improve overall symmetry, all in a single appointment. The material is artistically sculpted and polished to blend beautifully with your natural teeth, creating results that look subtle, balanced and entirely your own.
Bonding requires little to no removal of tooth structure, making it a comfortable and conservative option for patients looking for meaningful improvements with minimal intervention.
Tooth-Coloured Fillings
Modern white fillings allow us to restore damaged or decayed teeth using durable, aesthetic materials that match the natural shade of your enamel. Because the composite material bonds securely to the tooth, we can preserve more healthy tooth structure while creating a smooth, invisible restoration.
White fillings are ideal for replacing old metal fillings or repairing new areas of decay, offering long-lasting strength with a beautifully natural finish.
Teeth Whitening
If your smile isn’t as bright as you’d like, professional teeth whitening can help restore your natural sparkle. Even with excellent brushing, interdental cleaning and regular AirFlow hygiene visits, it is completely normal for teeth to darken over time due to ageing, dietary staining and lifestyle factors. Whitening is a simple, safe and highly effective way to gently refresh your smile.
At The Mead Dental Practice, we use a professionally supervised home-whitening system — one of the most predictable and widely recommended methods. Only dentists are legally permitted to carry out whitening in the UK, ensuring that treatment is delivered safely using approved, scientifically backed materials. This is essential for protecting your teeth and gums while achieving natural, even results.
Your whitening journey begins with a full dental examination to confirm that your teeth and gums are healthy. We then take precise moulds of your mouth so our dental technicians can create custom-fitted trays designed just for you. Once treatment begins, a gentle whitening gel is applied inside your trays and worn daily for two to four weeks, depending on your desired shade. Over the course of the whitening period — a minimum of two weeks — your smile gradually becomes brighter, resulting in a refreshed, beautifully natural finish.
Veneers
Veneers are an excellent option for improving the appearance of chipped, worn, uneven or discoloured front teeth. These thin, custom-made shells of porcelain or composite material are bonded to the front surface of the tooth to enhance its colour, shape and overall symmetry. Veneers can be used to refine a single tooth or applied across several teeth to create a beautifully balanced, natural-looking smile.
Despite their strength and durability, veneers require only minimal preparation. After confirming the treatment is right for you, your dentist will gently remove a very thin layer of enamel to create space for the veneer and ensure a secure bond. Each veneer is then colour-matched and carefully placed using strong dental adhesive, resulting in a smooth, lifelike finish.
With good oral care and regular dental visits, veneers can last for many years, offering a reliable and long-lasting cosmetic solution. For many patients, they provide a confident smile transformation with results that remain both natural and timeless.
