| Our Range of Services | ||
|---|---|---|
| We offer a full range of services including crown and
bridgework, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, gum treatments and
dentures, using up-to-date techniques and materials. Most of the
fillings we do now are non-mercury and colour-matched to the tooth. All
of the surgeries are fully air-conditioned for your comfort.
You may be surprised at how we can restore a beautiful smile
simply by replacing unsightly fillings or placing some porcelain
veneers - just ask. We offer tooth whitening using the safe and effective method
of custom-made bleaching trays, worn overnight for 7-10 days. We have
used the instant, "power whitening" technique in the past but found the
results disappointing and somewhat temporary. To help you look after your teeth, we offer a good range of dental care products. We believe that our style of dentistry - unrushed, planned in
consultation with you and produced to a very high standard - is best
provided in an independant environment. For this reason we do not
provide any dental care under the National Health Service. One thing you can always be sure of at The Mead Dental Practice is consistency. We will not pass you around from dentist to dentist so that you never know who will do your treatment each visit - as you can see on our meet the team page our dentists are here to stay and, unless you request a change, you will stay with your dentist and build a relationship. |

| Special services for special patients | ||
| When you arrange your first appointment you'll be encouraged
to tell us if you have any special needs.
If you're disabled or are unable to visit the surgery, we will do our best to help. If you have any worries about visiting the dentist, we can help you overcome the situation. We always regard children as very special patients, and do everything to make their visits as pleasant and as enjoyable as possible. Our main aim is to help them form good dental habits, which will prevent problems with their teeth in later life. If you have difficulty with stairs |

| Appointments and emergencies | ||
| You can make appointments by telephone or call in to make
arrangements. You'll find our regular appointment times below.
If you need to be seen urgently, telephone the surgery for advice. If treatment is essential, we will do our best to arrange it within 24 hours. For emergencies out of hours you should phone the practice number and you will be put in touch with our on-call dentist. Please give us as much notice as possible if you have to cancel an appointment. We may make a charge if you do not give reasonable notice. Once your initial treatment is complete, we encourage you to come back to the practice at regular intervals to see that everything is going well. Your next visit can be arranged before you leave the surgery and we can send you a reminder nearer the date. |
